Premises Licence

A Premises Licence is required for any person or business wishing to make Sales of Alcohol, host Regulated Entertainments or provide Late Night Refreshments from a premises but it is not a ‘one size fits all’ document and it should be tailored to fit your needs and your business.

The process of applying for a Premises Licence can be a long and daunting affair with a great deal of accuracy and consideration in relation to Operating Schedules, Consultation Periods and Public Notices required in order to obtain a successful result.

Even when the technical requirements of making application have been satisfied, the overwhelming majority of new applications are decided at a panel hearing before the Local Authority’s Licensing Sub-Committee.

Whilst there is no requirement under the Law to have legal representation at any stage of an application for a Premises Licence, to get the best possible – and most profitable – result for your working endeavours, this may well be a matter that would require investment in the best possible assistance.

Our Testimonials

“Dear Karen,

Thank you very much indeed for all that you, William Brown, and your support team at Hodders have done in connection with this purchase, and with the associated sale of Wallers Haven Barn. There were many times when I thought that we were not going to make one or the other, and it is in very large part down to your persistence that we are exchanged. Your care, patience and attention to detail have been much appreciated.
